For those of you that have been around since the Illustrating Stories days, you will remember the videos that Liz and I did while we experimented in the studio. After about an eighteen month break (two moves in there) from those videos we are finally creating together again.
This video is from a few weeks ago and shares a mixed-media project from both of us. Enjoy!
A look at the finished pieces from the orange and green series. This art is very hard to photograph in its display location. We have this fun metal structure that stands about eight feet tall and opens like a greeting card. We have art displayed on both sides and due to the location of the window it can be hard to get a good photograph. At night the art is highlighted with spot lights and takes on a nice glow.
Love the visit with you two, makes me wanna be there too. Your orange and green pieces are wonderful...I am so all about abstract!

Sandrine,
We are so glad to be back creating together again!
The canvases are made up of a series of layers using acrylic paint, watercolor crayons, charcoal, and oil pastels. After the first texture layters, I cut out circles from cream colored graph paper in several sizes. I then used a eco-friendly matte medium to glue the circles onto the surface. You can find it here...

After the circles dried I added more layers of paint, crayons, and oil.
Then sealed the top with a matte medium.
Thanks so much for stopping by
Take care,
Jackie
